Located near the renowned Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and its Lower Falls, the Canyon Lodge is the most central of the park's 9 locations. It's ideal for hiking and other outdoor activities.
Cabins built in the 1950's and 60's are arranged on loops, while two new lodges house over 80 hotel style rooms. All rooms and cabins have private baths.
The main lodge building is also a product of the "mission 66 days" and includes a reception desk, gift store, picnic/deli shop, full service restaurant and cafeteria. Horseback rides are also available from the nearby corrals.
Please note that all park accommodations are non-smoking and, reflecting the natural surroundings of Yellowstone; televisions, radios, air conditioning, and Internet hook-ups are not available. Wheelchair accessible accommodations are available on a limited basis.

Lodge Rooms
Located in the recently constructed Cascade and Dunraven Lodges, the attractively decorated hotel rooms offer modern western-themed lodge furniture, typically with two double beds. Cascade Lodge was built in 1992, with three floors and no elevators. Dunraven Lodge was completed in 1998 with four floors and elevator access to all floors.
Western Cabins
These are motel-style units built in modules of 4 or 6 units include private full bathrooms. Each is spacious with modern furnishings and two queen beds. No telephones.
Frontier Cabins
Simple, modest motel-style units were built in the 1950's and are configured in modules of 4 or 8 cabins. They have received basic renovations in recent years. Private bathrooms include a shower, toilet and sink. No telephones.
Pioneer Cabins
Simple, motel-style cabin units with basic furnishings and bath with shower, toilet and sink. No telephones.
Accessible Rooms
Located on the first floors of Dunraven and Cascade Lodges, the rooms are attractively appointed, with accessible bathrooms featuring showers with handrails, portable shower-hose attachments and accessible toilets and sinks.
